Hi! I’m Leanne Scott, a Certified Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement® Practitioner, professional dancer, choreographer, co-owner of MOVE Therapies - a Neurological Movement Clinic,
wife, and proud mother to Callum Tate, my son with special needs and the absolute joy of my life.
My journey with movement and healing began in an unexpected and challenging way. At 17, I suffered a serious accident that detached my quad muscle from my pelvis. I spent my senior year in the hospital, where doctors were able to reattach my leg. While I regained mobility, the impact of the injury stayed with me. By my early 40s, I was living with constant, debilitating pain—a 9 out of 10 most days—and was told I’d likely need a wheelchair in the near future.
Life took another turn when Callum was born. Knowing he would need extra support, we began searching for therapies to help him thrive. That’s when we were introduced to the Anat Baniel Method (ABM). Initially, my focus was entirely on Callum, but as I began the Practitioner Training Program, something remarkable happened—I started to heal, too.
Through the gentle, brain-based movements of ABM, I was able to rewire old patterns of movement and release the chronic pain I had lived with for so long.
Today, at 55, I am completely out of pain, defying every prognosis that said I’d end up in a wheelchair.
Now, I dedicate my life to helping others experience their own transformation. Whether it’s children or adults facing physical challenges, I’m passionate about sharing this powerful work and showing what’s truly possible when we tap into the brain’s ability to change and heal.
